Checking in

Spent two out of the last three and a half days sleeping. No idea what's wrong with me, but it seems to be going away. Liberal applications of coffee have somewhat limited the damage to the sleep schedule.

Haven't paid attention to anything online in ~five days. If anyone died, it's not that I don't love you, it's that I haven't heard yet.

Ursula Vernon, aside from creating art that I really like, does a comic called Digger. Digger was nominated for three WCCAs[1]. As a happy result, all 200-and-change pages are now online at GraphicSmash, and you don't need a subscription to catch up. Go here for the first page and then just keep going forward. (Wombats! Dead gods! Oracular slugs! Liver jokes! Who could ask for more?)

Grandma's eyesight is going (macular degeneration--short version: damage to the part of the eye which allows you to see fine detail and colour, possibly progressing to blindess). Mom, as of yesterday, has also been diagnosed with macular degeneration. Apparently it tends to run in families, particularly along mother-daughter lines. Something to look forward to in my old age, along with arthritis.
