I've been hand-writing the invitations. It's not unpleasant work, but it is a little slow, and my hand does tend to cramp up after a while.
So.
Last night John and I were watching The Aristocrats with commentary, and I was inking--I'm past the halfway mark, and was feeling quite happy about this--and we decided to pause the movie to crash.
And he came over and took a look at what I was doing.
And he said "Would this be a bad time to tell you that my middle name is actually 'Adam'?"
.
..
...I could've killed him.
I am not quite sure exactly what the expression on my face was, but it had him cracking up for a good eight minutes. He managed to establish that no, he was joking, about two minutes in. This is fine because that's about how long it took me to speak.
(Given that I'd actually shown him the first one before I started, if he *hadn't* been joking, I think he would have been down at City Hall asking about the forms required for a name change today. And that great mercy and temperance on my part is only because the room deposit is non-refundable.)
