I will not be in Seattle for the Unhallowed Metropolis release party at the Mercury on September 28th. Nor for the book signing of same at the Dreaming on October 4th.

I will also not be in Oregon for the HP Lovecraft Film Festival (which has Bernie Wrightson as a guest. Bernie Wrightson. Oh well, I'd probably (a) never see him and (b) make a fangirlish idiot out of myself, anyway).

At the moment, I am soothing my pain with the Mythos serial Trois Freres. It's a modern setting--the closest thing I've ever read to it is A Colder War by Charles Stross. It's online at Footnotes to a Species Once Called Humanity, and it is beautiful.

In that "end of the world, spiritual moral and physical degeneration of all mankind" sense of beautiful, of course. Go on. Take a look. Starts here, the linking's a tiny bit odd for the first three entries but it works.
