Trying to put my finger on exactly what doesn't appeal about Alpha Omega. Possibly it's just that I was hoping for Mythos-related apocalypse, and it appears to be straight dark SF/F post-apocalypse. Meh.

On the flipside, I've got a copy of Unhallowed Metropolis coming. Glee.

Heh. Went to sleep with a hot water bottle last night. Woke up to find Angel lying firmly across my ankle, miaowing irritably if I attempted to get it out from under her.

I find this particularly endearing because, while my ankle was sore and the heat of a cat on it was rather comfortable, the hot water bottle was actually on the small of my back. So whatever was motivating her was not a selfish search for warmth.

Dammit, you'd think stores would charge you when you *bought* a gift. Not when the gift was picked up. :P
