I spent an hour up to my wrists in cold dead chicken last night.

An hour.

One hour.

In future, I may consider deboning chicken thighs. Never again chicken breasts. Certainly not four pounds of them. They have all those fiddly little ribs. Very bad.

Also, caught up on Torchwood. Think I am detecting a distinct recurring theme, but it's hard to tell--watching them all in a streak like that, it's possible to see patterns where there's just coincidences.

Beyond that, it's a slow day at work, Aunt Caroline's Joy Mojo is a wonderful thing, and I'm about to fire up "Dance, Soterios Johnson, Dance."

Man, seriously, of all the various arguments that might ever potentially sway me to vegetarianism, having to handle meat is the most compelling. Raw meat is seriously disgusting and unpleasant to touch, and I think that we need to devote more resources to breeding chicken that just don't have bones.

I actually don't mind beef so much. And even slicing chicken is usually okay--of course, at that point, I'm not actually required to touch it. I have a knife for that.

Wrestling the toothpick-thin bones out of the gristly bits and stretchy-snappy white sheaths, on the other hand...

Oh! Meant to e-mail you. Apparently Silver Snail's 30th anniversary was two years ago, and they're out of the Mignola posters--the person I was speaking to was assuming I was looking for the current ones. OTOH, I was able to get postcards of the artwork. Interested?

And I meant to email you my address, as you requested, but I am the king of all failures! However, I am very interested in postcards, and I promise that I will email you my address when I get home tonight!

Could be worse, being up to your wrists in cold live chicken or hot dead chicken would suck too. But yeah, I must admit that I haven't tried the chicken breasts (Let alone a whole 4 lbs).
