Does anybody else find the idea of a Christian gifts and music shop called the Salem Storehouse faintly disconcerting?

There is no incentive to keep killing time at the computer like a warm cat on your lap. Nothing beats it. She's like a furry wrist rest, only heated and with purring vibro-action.

Started reading another series at GirlAMatic, Lucas and Odessa[1], and I'm getting sucked in. I'm not sure I *like* Odessa, exactly, but I hope like hell she gives up on the giving up. (I think I like Ashley. Or will when she grows up.) (I definitely like Lucas.)

It's weird. When I'm tired, I stop being jealous of other artists. I'm not badly jealous most of the time, but there's that little niggling "Dammit, why can't I..." And when I'm tired, it stops.

Writing e-mail to strangers is hard, even nice strangers.

Definitely had too much coffee today. I'm not even beginning to get sleepy. Need to be up early tomorrow, too, so this sucks.

Wow, look, a post so content-free it goes into the negatives...

Bob Thorton's Jewelers, on Bank, downtown, next to the Tim Horton's, had a really lovely window display two days ago. Need to go down there tomorrow, and take pictures if it's still up. All red and white light, wine glasses glowing like a crucible, and it managed to hit some gorgeous balance between sappy warm and chilly cool colours in a way that made me go back for a second look. Probably what they're aiming for, though I think my budget would strangle me if I tried to cut it as a customer these days.

[1] I'd put up a link, but it's subscription. This means you probably can't read it (but if you want to, GirlAMatic subscriptions are cheap), and if you can, you know where to find it anyway.
